THE Xiaomi announced Android 11 with MIUI 12 for Xiaomi Mi 10 and Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro this Wednesday (9). According to the Chinese company, the update is now available for global versions of the phone with advanced technical data. Other smartphones from Asian manufacturers will receive the update in the future.
The new Android version has been tested on Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro for a while: in June, the Chinese company made beta versions of the operating system available for both smartphones and the Poco F2 Pro. Now, it’s the phone ‘it’s turn to get its first update with the MIUI 12 interface, right after the Google Pixel line.
“Meeting user expectations, Android 11 is now available in global versions of Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro so that developers and users have an early idea of its smart features” , Xiaomi said on Wednesday (9) in a publication available on its official blog.
In early April, Xiaomi announced the list of phones that will receive Android 11. In addition to other variants of the Mi 10 series, smartphones from Mi Note 10, Mi 9, Redmi 9, Redmi Note 9 Pro , Redmi K30, Black Shark family 3 and others will also be updated to Google’s new OS version.
Android 11 to final version
Google released the final version of Android 11 on Tuesday (8). The update will come on phones with Bubbles operating system, a dedicated section for messaging app in notifications, redesigned media controls, native screen recording, improvements privacy and more.
The OS update is now available for Google Pixel 2, Pixel 3, Pixel 3a, Pixel 4, Pixel 4a, and other variants with its larger display (XL).
