The PS Plus Collection launched to PS5 owners on November 12, which includes 20 digital PS4 games that work through backwards compatibility at no additional charge. It turns out that, once redeemed on the PS5, the game also works on old Sony consoles.
Upon discovery and post-launch, there were people selling access to this collection of games, with prices ranging from R $ 10 to R $ 60 on sites like Mercado Livre and OLX. At the time of researching this note, 22 copies were sold in just one of the available ads.
The practice, although carried out without fanfare, drew attention on Twitter, as reported by the journalist. Pedro Sciarotta.
What Sony said
O Tecnoblog Reached out to PlayStation for any comment, but has not received a response so far. However, the company’s terms of service are clear:
5.9. Do not share, buy, sell, lease, sublicense, trade, transfer, collect or distribute any of the Accounts, Account information or other Account login information.
Also, remember that it is never a good idea to share your personal login information on PSN or any other network with strangers. Especially when we don’t know the source of the service provided.
Account theft is not uncommon in the world, especially if it is filled with previously purchased digital content or includes personal data, such as credit cards, names and birthdays.
